The RICs level 3 survey comprises a report on the condition of the property.
Gives an outline of repair options and the likely consequences of inactivity, advice for your legal advisors and details of serious risks and dangerous conditions.
Most detailed and comprehensive property survey that RICs offers - ideal for larger or older properties or if you're planning major works.

A dilapidation survey is a detailed survey and report into the current condition of the building from the physical structure, elements in place and issues involving furnishings as well as wear and tear.
These are normally undertaken during a lease term or towards the end of a tenancy.
A snagging survey is carried out on a new build property or extension. A report is produced which will inform you what is needed to bring the project up to an acceptable standard. This will assist you with when negotiating with the builder or contractor.
A specific default survey is undertaken where expert advice is needed in a particular area of a property, this could include areas of damp, timber decay or any defective element of a building. The survey will pay particular attention to this defect and a detailed report will be produced listing both causes and recommendations.
